Psalm 8:2 says this, "You have taught infants & children to tell of Your strength, silencing Your enemies and all who oppose You." The Passion Translation says it beautifully... "You have built a stronghold by the songs of babies. Strength rises up with the chorus of singing children. This kind of praise has the power to shut Satan's mouth. Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you."
Ahh... yes! Isn't it amazing that what the Lord would call "perfected praises" (Matt 21:16) do not rise from the seemingly "perfected" individuals, but rather from children and babies... the weakest of humanity? Oh that it would be just like our God to accomplish the greatest work and reveal His glory through fragile instruments!!
Our worship... our praise... is simply our undeterred response to His nature. It's not the return of favor, it's the reverberation of His form. It's rightly and readily representing and reproducing Jesus.
And His presence is manifested in us when we praise.
Oh especially when it's hardest to praise. Remember - He uses the weak to demonstrate His strength? You and I, in our weakest state, have the capacity to magnify Him the most! We.... His fragile instruments!
His presence becomes enlarged in the middle of our difficulties when our focus remains steadfastly upon His goodness and His provision. When we become a people preoccupied with unrelenting praise, His glory is all that can be seen BY us AND IN us!
All problems bow in the presence of our praise!
Praise and worship.
They are the gateway to breakthrough.
