I know it's hard right now.
I know you're super busy.
I know you're tired.
I know.
But did you know that there is absolute POWER that comes to you when you praise?
Hebrews 13:15 calls it a "sacrifice of prayer."
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that openly profess his name."
And why "sacrifice?"
Because Jesus knew how hard it was going to be.
He knew there would be days like this.
He understood, deeply, how difficult it would be for us praise "continually."
Because some days we don't feel like praising.
It is in those moments... those seasons that are filled with doubt and confusion and pain and loss and disappointment... that praise seems nearly impossible!
That's the sacrifice.
You see, you and I have this one life... this one opportunity... to offer up our sacrifice of praise.
We have one chance this side of eternity to put to death in the fire those doubts, that confusion, and the hurt and disappointment. We have this one chance to give God this type of sacrificially prized offering.
Because it's only something I can do here.
On earth.
I can't do it there.
Because there's no pain in heaven.
And so I can charge into my situation today praising.
Declaring that HE is the Healer - before the cancer is eradicated!
Declaring that HE is the Provider - before I get the job.
Declaring that HE is the Victor - before I overcome this battle.
THIS is the sacrifice of praise!
THIS is declaring His sovereignty regardless of how I feel.
Oh that we would be people of sacrificial praise!
