Give All You Can!

My sweet great-niece Carli.

Last night she and her family were over visiting us. She was intrigued by my stack of books on my kitchen table that I am selling. There was a small stack still for sale with the price tags on them and she started sifting through them.

When she came to one she liked she asked her mom if she could get it. It was marked $2, and knowing she only had $1, she was looking to mom or dad for the other $1.

I chuckled a bit and said, "No, baby girl, TAKE the book if you want it! You don't have to pay me!"
She took the book and was happy to have it.

This morning when I came into my office I noticed this cute little sticky note attached to a $1 bill.
She wanted to pay what she could with what she had.

Such integrity.
Such thoughtfulness.

She is wise beyond her years.

And so it has encouraged me today... let's go into our Saturday giving all we've got.

Even if it's a little.
Even if it seems insignificant.
Even if you think it certainly won't make a difference.

It matters.

It is enough.

And what can come from your seemingly minuscule gift can be used for greater purpose than you know!

hank you, Carli, for loving well. And for sharing what you have to make the world a better place!!
